When I first ran for the Wisconsin State Assembly four years ago to represent the 74th district and was elected, my first thought was “Could I make a difference?” Now, as I work to earn your support for State Senate, I realize that the issues facing us during my first two terms in the State Assembly have only intensified, and are now in even greater need:
More than ever, the people of the northland need strong representation and a voice in Madison that focuses on our unique needs and circumstances. As the values we share come under assault, we must reaffirm our dedication to our communities and to each other. Our local units of government, our schools, our critical hometown businesses, need to be strengthened and preserved, not weakened and undermined by out-of-state interests or extreme political ideologies.
I pledge to you that I will work harder than ever to understand the concerns of the entire 25th Senate District, from Cornucopia to Ogema, from Prairie Farm to Mercer. I am proud to have earned the reputation of legislating cooperatively and independently, working with colleagues, and bridging differences to accomplish our best purposes as a state and region. It would be an honor and a privilege to continue that work as your State Senator.
Your opinions are so important to me so please contact me anytime with questions, comments or concerns.
